Advantages of floating discs: When high-speed riding for a long time or braking vigorously, the disc will cause thermal expansion due to high temperature due to severe friction. The floating disc separates the outer friction surface of the brake disc from the inner bracket and uses a floating connection in the middle. In this way, the friction surface and the bracket become relatively independent bearing surfaces. When the friction surface is heated and expanded, the floating structure allows the friction surface to have a certain free longitudinal expansion space, eliminating the condition of internal tensile stress with the bracket, thereby maintaining friction. The surface will not be twisted and deformed due to uneven heating, which makes the brake more stable and reliable. For ordinary discs, the outer edge of the high-temperature expansion and the lower-temperature middle part are integrated, which will generate strong internal tensile stress, which will cause severe stress which will result in the dish surface to be distorted laterally.
